Environmental professionals across the public sector face increasing demands to update their skills and technical knowledge at a time when training budgets are dwindling. Recognising these competing pressures, ESI has developed a portfolio of courses, including modular and bespoke events that can be tailored to individual or corporate needs.
Of particular interest to local authority officers may be our half day sessions on human health risk assessment; these hands-on events (typically delivered at local authority offices) provide focussed training which is geared to the interests of particular CLO groups or individual councils. As such, we actively encourage delegates to get involved in designing the course content; this interactive approach increases delegate participation and ensures that the training is as relevant as possible.
In the last two years ESI has delivered modular training to well over a hundred local authority officers.
