For the past 18 years Keynetix (previously known as Key Systems Geotechnical Ltd) has  provided the UK site investigation industry with data management solutions based upon HoleBASE and the wide range of peripheral applications developed around it for data acquisition, reporting and graphical analysis.

Following a recent Strategic Partnership Agreement with EarthSoft , Keynetix will now distribute EQuIS in the UK, which is expected to widen the appeal of its product range much further than previously into the field of environmental monitoring and analysis.

“We see this as a great opportunity to offer more environmental products and services to our HoleBASE customers, and better support for existing EQuIS customers in the UK.” says Mike Rothery, co-founder of Keynetix.

A key component in this new strategy is a strong working relationship with ESI, leading consultants in the procurement and deployment of soil and groundwater solutions. As a long-established and experienced proponent of EQuIS, particularly strong in the training and advisory services it offers, ESI forms a vital arm of Keynetix’ UK distribution network.

Meanwhile, Keynetix and EarthSoft will cooperate on the emerging DIGGS (Data Interchange for Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specials) format and will exploit the synergies between their respective products to offer greater functionality to land investigation, monitoring and remediation specialists in the United Kingdom, the United States and ultimately worldwide.

As well as providing full DIGGS compliance, the next version of HoleBASE will connect directly to the EQuIS environmental data model, replacing gINT as the principal geotechnical reporting tool.

Keynetix will assist Earthsoft with the EQuIS geotechnical extensions in Oracle and SQL/Server, and will provide reporting and graphical tools in support of EQuIS Enterprise systems in the United States, where EarthSoft will be implementing DIGGS solutions for several state Department of Transport agencies (DoT’s) and large consulting firms.
