About the Presenters Phil is considered one of the leading experts in the contaminated land industry in the United Kingdom. He has over 23 years experience, the first 15 years of which were gained in the oil and chemicals industry as a specialist in environmental technologies. He is a visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield, a member of the EPSRC Peer Review Committee, a member of the CL:AIRE Technology & Research Group (chairman, 2007-2008) and was chairman of the DTI Bioremediation LINK Programme Management Committee throughout its existence (2001-2009). Andy is an experienced hydrogeologist and project manager who has worked on a wide range of projects in the UK and abroad, specialising in contaminant and water resource hydrogeology and environmental risk assessment. Andy has extensive knowledge of controlled waters and human health risk assessment; he is course director for a number of ESI’s commercially run contaminated land and risk assessment courses and presents on a number of external courses, including contributions on behalf of Sheffield University. Steve is an industry recognised contamination specialist, experienced hydrogeologist and project manager with wide-ranging expertise in the fields of groundwater chemistry interpretation and modelling, water resources assessment, contaminant transport modelling and risk assessment for contaminated land and landfills. Steve is a regular presenter on ESI’s professional training courses and also provides bespoke training to various commercial clients covering both groundwater and human health risk assessment modelling. Rob Gordon is a skilled geologist with over 12 years experience in industry. He has managed and provided technical leadership on a wide range of contaminated land and landfill risk assessment projects and has extensive experience of geological and hydrogeological investigations including site investigation and data collation, conceptual model development, risk assessment and reporting. Rob project managed the development of the Statistical Calculator Tool on behalf of CL:AIRE / CIEH and provides regular training on this and associated contaminated land topics.
