Contaminated Land Site Investigations

Our team of consultants include geologists, hydrogeologists and environmental scientists with substantial experience in site investigation design, management and supervision. Our track record in site investigation ranges from Phase 2 geoenvironmental investigations and water resource explorations, to landfill drilling and monitoring network installation. We undertake soil sampling, groundwater sampling and soil gas sampling and maintain the highest standards of field practice to ensure high quality data.

Drilling Supervisor

We provide an efficient, reliable and cost-effective service and ensure that our clients get the information they need, be it for environmental due diligence, to meet planning conditions for site development, to optimise remediation strategies or to understand potential liabilities associated with land quality.

ESI enjoy good relationships with a wide network of subcontractors (notably drilling contractors and environmental laboratories) that enables us to deliver cost-effective, high quality data from sites across the country.

At ESI we insist on maintaining staffing continuity from the field through to reporting and interpretation, to ensure that valuable field observations are retained. We think that the challenges of generating land which is ‘fit for purpose’ can only be met by adopting an appropriately thought-out and executed programme of site investigation works. Our data management protocols ensure that our data can be efficiently processed to support Conceptual Site Models, Risk Assessment and Remediation.

The health and safety of our staff is of paramount importance to us. Our health and safety procedures are designed to ensure that our staff can work safely and efficiently and that our partners, contractors and the public are protected from health and safety hazards.
