We are an employee owned company with offices in Shrewsbury and Milan and a new regional office in Reading. Our team includes some of the UK’s leading groundwater specialists and our clients include diverse blue chip corporations and governmental bodies.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background, most likely with an MSc or PhD in groundwater science, and excellent communication skills. With a commitment to deliver work of the highest standard to demanding deadlines, an ambitious candidate will excel in our growing, dynamic, consultancy environment. UK environmental industry experience is an advantage.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Contribute to projects that deliver high quality, pragmatic, advice and solutions to environmental problems.
- Perform a wide variety of technical, field and office based, work without close supervision.
- Conceptualise and quantitatively describe subsurface systems and processes.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal presentation formats to clients and other stakeholders.
- Supervise contractors on site investigation programmes.
- Understand client objectives.
- Support ESI’s commercial development plans.
- Adhere to ESI’s quality assurance and health and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- MSc or higher in Hydrogeology
- 2 to 3 years experience
- GIS, databases and experience in numerical quantitative hydrogeology
This position reports to a Principal or Senior Consultant
